In a riveting strategical outsmarting, Australia won with a smashing margin of 6 wickets. The opening Indian batsman Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli performed well, but could not sustain long against the indomitable Australian players like Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazelwood, and the skipper, Pat Cummings.

Coming to India's bowling. the men in blue were fantastic, with Mohammed Shami who has a sterling record in the World Cup, becoming one of the most feared bowlers in the history of cricket.

However, the Australian opening batsman was no less. David Warner, Travis Head, and Mitchell Marsh showed amazing partnerships and stood undeterred. Travis Head was declared the man of the match for his tiredness in a 241-run chase with 120 balls 137. He scored 15 fours and 6 sixes. Overall, it was a game played well which kept the viewers on their toes, throughout the match. The Indian team may have lost the match, but they undoubtedly won many hearts for their performance in the 2023 World Cup.
